Sample Scottish Highland and Irish step dance in a 4-week session. Classes are taught by Heather Richendrfer, Director of the Clan Heather Dancers. She offers a year-round program in Everett, Mount Vernon and Bellingham. Heather teaches workshops across North America and is a member of the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing adjudication panel. She has judged the national Championships in Canada and Australia and the World Championship in Scotland. The intro program provides basic instruction of authentic movements and steps used in the Celtic dance forms. Jigs, reels and lively music too! Classes are divided by age with several sessions starting on April 11. Pre-school, school-age, teens and adults may participate. If you have attended area Highland Games it is likely the dance competition was organized by Heather Richendrfer. She directs many competitions in the area and the only Championship Highland events in the region open to dancers from around the world.
