DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE Natural Resources Conservation Service Pearson Eddy Wetland Restoration Project, Snohomish County, Washington AGENCY: Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). ACTION: Notice of a Finding of No Significant Impact SUMMARY: Pursuant to Section 102[2] [c] of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations [40 CFR Part 1500], and the Natural Resources Conservation Service Regulations [7 CFR Part 650], NRCS gives notice that an environmental impact statement is not being prepared for the wetland restoration project at Pearson Eddy, Snohomish County, WA. Telephone (509)323-2991, e-mail NRCS.Pearson.Eddy.comments@wa.usda.gov SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: The environmental assessment of this federal action indicates that the project will not cause significant local, regional, or national impacts on the environment. As a result of these findings, Roylene Rides at the Door, State Conservationist, has determined that the preparation and review of an environmental impact statement is not needed for this project. The project purpose is habitat restoration and flood risk reduction. The planned works of improvement include replacement of an existing water control structure and habitat improvements on the Snoqualmie River floodplain. The Notice of a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) has been forwarded to the various Federal, State, and local agencies and interested parties. A limited number of copies of the FONSI are available to fill single copy requests at the above address or email address. The environmental assessment is posted on the NRCS website at: https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/main/wa/newsroom/pnotice/. Written comment will be accepted until August 30, 2017. No action on implementation of the proposal will be taken until 15 days after the date of this publication in the Monroe Monitor and Valley News.
