George Reginald (Reg) Clarke Jr passed away on August 26, 2020 in Monroe, Washington. He was born in Buffalo, New York on September 12th, 1947 to Iva Mae and George Reginald Clarke Sr. Reg married his high school sweetheart, Pamela Maria Ereth, on February 25, 1967 in a Catholic church in Edmonds, Washington. They were sealed for time and all eternity on September 15, 1970 in the Idaho Falls Temple. Reg started his career in pupil transportation working as a school bus mechanic and worked his way up to transportation director, a position he held for over 20 years. He served in many capacities in the transportation industry including as Chairman of the Washington Association for Pupil Transportation School Bus Safety Roadeo and a founding member of the Pupil Transportation Manager Training Program. Later in life, he taught the AARP Driver Safety Course. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served his Savior and his brothers and sisters in many ways. Many people know of his visible service in the church as Bishop (twice), but his quiet every-day service truly defined Reg. He loved cars, guns, and America, not necessarily in that order. He was a Chevy guy and loved Corvettes. He believed in standing for freedom and protecting the innocent, which showed in his respect for Veterans and those who serve and protect. Reg is preceded in death by his mother, father, and wife, and survived by his brothers (Dale, Larry, and Kevin), five children, thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
